10/29/25 Lily Schooley Mill Practice

We revisited the horse pies at Schooley Mill. We worked Lily and Poppy on LL to warm up. Poppy learned well from her training and ignored everything (well, maybe except once). 

Lily was totally distracted by an area of tiny pebbles on the parking lot. Janet walked through them over and over with Lily, who tried ignoring but was still very tempted. (No pictures of that.) 

Here's a slideshow of photos with Lily and Janet working against the horse pies and hay. They show one angle so you can see Lily better, but Janet walked her back and forth many times over two separate areas. Then she did downs on the mounting block. It was a struggle with two maintenance guys and their big, loud vehicles working on the grounds close by. The last down picture was about as relaxed as Lily got. Poppy showed Lily the right way to do a down. (No pics) Then they finished up with some sit/stays and quiet time.
