9/2/25 FC Week 1 Day 2 - Lily ILL

Lily is a wild child. Our day 2 progression of videos led to a surprise breakthrough. She seems triggered to increase nipping, jumping and barking with every quick direction change or bump to correct.

Since speed and quick changes seemed to trigger her reactivity, slowing way down made sense. We gave it a try.

Once she found success at a deliberately slow pace, we tried a little more normal pace.

One more time with Janet.

Cool down and quiet time. Lily was done.

  1. Good work! Lily is seeking to interrupt or stop the LL working. Once you add in planted distractions, like a toy or another dog, her focus will shift to the distraction instead of her handler. The nipping, jumping, barking, etc, is all avoidance behavior.

Introduce distractions today, all of you.
